Family texts: terms and privacy
What this is
The Konechne family list sends family news (births, birthdays, get-togethers, obituaries, photos) to members of one extended family. Steve Kessler runs it for the family. It is personal, not a business, and never sends ads or sales messages.
How you start getting texts
You only get texts if you agreed to them. That happens in one of these ways:
- You gave your cell number to the family directory and told a family admin you want family texts.
- You signed in on this website and chose Text messages or Both email and text.
- You texted START to the family text number.
- You filled in the Get family texts form and ticked the box agreeing to texts.
When texts are turned on, you get a welcome text explaining how to stop them.
What to expect
- How often: it varies with family news, usually a few texts a month or fewer.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your phone plan.
- Text STOP to the family text number at any time to stop texts. You'll get one text confirming it.
- Text HELP for help, or use the help page.
- Text EMAIL, TEXT or BOTH to choose how family messages reach you.
- Anything else you text to the family text number goes to the whole family.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Your name, email address and cell number are used only to send you family messages and to let you sign in to this website. They are never sold, rented or shared with anyone outside the family list for marketing or any other purpose.
No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Text message opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
Messages are sent through Amazon (email) and Telnyx (texts), which handle them only to deliver them. To see or change what's on file about you, sign in, or ask Steve to remove you completely.
